The project’s ultimate goal is to develop and complete a digital communication concept for local residents and tourists. In the cemeteries, both well-known and lesser-known individuals of cultural-historical interest are buried. We want to present deceased individuals whose life stories have touched more lives and destinies than just their own and those of their closest relatives.
The public will be able to visit the selected cemetery using their smartphone while on site, or from home in front of their computer, and find a selection of graves with links to 2–3 minute video narratives.
There will be stories about both “well-known figures” and more ordinary people, but they must fall within the following definition: The project “Cultural Graves – Lived Lives” will present selected “individual life stories of general cultural-historical interest.”
This means they should connect to historical events or actions, or to cultural ideas, traditions, or expressions that have affected more people’s lives and destinies than those of the deceased and their immediate family.
